BenchBUD is owned by Bill Knighton, a Wisconsin native and long-time manufacturer. He has been in the manufacturing business since 1985 when he and his father started K&A Manufacturing, Inc.
Over the past 35 years, Bill has lead the K&A team have created and developed a variety of quality ergonomic furniture and accessories at the WI based factory. The company offers a variety of office furniture products with a specialty in making high quality, custom sit stand desks & workstations.

For the last 13 years, I’ve had a heavy focus on manufacturing standing desks. I began to think about other applications for a height adjustable table outside of an office furniture environment. How nice would it be to have a product like that while I do at-home projects?
It was then that Bill decided to utilize his 30+ years of product design, product creation, and engineering experience to develop a heavy-duty, height adjustable workbench for the at-home craftsman & handyman.
